Death in Bee Paradise

So, my colony has officially collapsed. The wax moths overwhelmed the colony's workers and ate all the brood the new queen laid. All the bees died of old age, except my new queen. I tried to catch her, but she flew off.

I'll be starting two colonies next year from packages so that I can bolster a weak hive from the stronger hive. I've also learned about easy to make wax moth traps to help deter them from the hives.

I'm taking the lessons learned over the last 15 months and incorporating them into my next hive design!
